Sexual Health Nurse (£ 20 - 25k)

This is an exciting new post for a nurse experienced in the field of sexual health.

The post holder will need to be flexible and capable of operating effectively as a lone worker and managing their own workload.

Holding the advanced certificate in contraception and sexual health (MW2127 formally ENB R71 or equivalent, STI Course) would be an advantage.

Assessment of the care needs of clients in the Sexual & Reproductive Health and provision of education, counselling, contact tracing and advice on contraception, sexual health and general health issues. This will include the provision of contraception and STI treatments, undertaking Cervical cytology and STI tests & Chlamydia screening.

You will also need to be an experienced Phlebotomists capable of taking blood.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality nursing care that supports the clinic aim in providing an effective service that encompasses and responds to health care needs of both male and female clients attending Clinic Express. Management experience required.

The post holder will actively participate in nurse-led developments, run simple laboratory / screening tests to aid in diagnosis and undertake any required training and competency based assessment in Sexual & Reproductive Health.

Clinical Health Nurse / Receptionist (£ 14k)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide a welcoming, non-judgemental confidential service to all clients whatever the setting.

Initially assess the client, taking an accurate and relevant medical, sexual and social history and reassess at follow up visits.

Discuss sexual health and counsel with regard to testing and treatment.

To post holder will actively participate in nurse-led developments, run simple laboratory / screening tests to aid in diagnosis and undertake any required training and competency based assessment in Sexual & Reproductive Health

Record all specimens, taking full responsibility for this task even if delegated to a non-nursing team member.

Prepare and clear away after each clinical session.

Maintain a supply of up to date leaflets and posters.

Maintain records, in line with professional and Clinic Express's high standards.

Maintain and control the storage of equipment and materials to ensure the safety of clients and colleagues.

Take responsibility for own professional knowledge and operate the clinic policies and standards.
